Strange We find these rather funny, to the point we want to puke. You might, too. If they seem heavy on musical instruments, strange stuff and sports teams, well, duh. We are musicians, after all, so naturally our interests would lie in new toys and leisure activities and our sense of humor would be slightly warped in nature. Much time is spent in the hotel room with nothing to do but play guitars, read music magazines, talk about weird stuff, and watch a LOT of television; usually either M*A*S*H, The Andy Griffith Show or sports. Some of us lived and died (and still do) with the fortunes of ACC basketballmany rivalries were among us during that time of year. We had State fans and we had the anybody-but-Carolina fans. The one team we all, but one rather misguided individual, agreed on was Duke. Friends don't let friends go to Dook. (Hey, my father-in-law, George Skipworth, STILL holds the "Most interceptions in a single season" record for the Duke Blue Devils. That's football? So, what's your point? phoo) We also had a few Carolina fans who were ecstatic when they won the national title in 1982. Guess which ones put together this page. And we're glad we didn't have to hear the rest of the guys when State won the national title in '83. (It made the breakup of the band a little more livable for the State fans.) Braves baseball is always a good pastime; any baseball is better than none, even when it's really bad, but our patience was rewarded in 1982 when the Mighty Murph led the Braves to the division title. That season WTBS re-ran the games again in the middle of the night, so we always had something to do when we got back to the hotel after the gig. Enough of this. Go look at the links.
